New ‘Laudato Si’ Encyclical Proof Francis Hates People
In his highly anticipated encyclical on the environment, Pope Francis offered harsh criticism of the global economy, condemning it for pillaging the Earth’s resources at the expense of the poor.
In the encyclical, the Holy Father zealously attributes global warming to people, saying “The earth, our home, is beginning to look more and more like an immense pile of filth. And that, my friends, is because of the pile of filth living and breathing on it.’”
The encyclical’s scathing language has stirred much controversy in the past day, with people on both sides of the global warming debate taking to comment boxes to defend or attack the pope.
“What the heck…this encyclical uses the word ‘environment.’ Isn’t that a liberal thing? And aren’t liberals going to hell?” one commentator wrote. Another commentator echoed those words, saying, “Did anyone see the word ‘environment’ in there? Weird.” While yet another wrote, “I thought we Catholics are against abortion, contraception, and the environment. Why is he talking about the environment? Is it because he’s the anti-Christ?”
Vatican Spokesman Reverend Federico Lombardi described the leaked text as a draft, saying that, because of all the backlash, the final version will remove all mentions of the word ‘environment,’ and instead, simply be a complete, front to back republication of Humanae Vitae.
